Tuesday 20th July 2010

Saturday Fencing Holidays - Saturday fencing will finish on 24th July and is currently expected to resume on Saturday 18th September 2010. In the meantine all Saturday fencers are more than welcome to come to the Thursday sessions in the intervening weeks.
Thursday Fencing Holidays - There will be no fencing on Thursday 5th & 12th August so as to give the coaches a break and we intend to resume on Thursday 19th August.

Sunday 27th June 2010
The Club trip has been announced, we will be attending the Jorvick Viking centre in York. Permission forms and information are available to download.

Wednesday 9th June 2010
Our venue for Saturday fencing will be unavailable until Saturday 26th June and the last session before the summer break will be on 24th July.

Monday 31st May 2010
There will be no Saturday Fencing on either the 5th of June or the 12th of June.

Tuesday 23rd March 2010
There will be no Saturday fencing on 3rd and 10th April as the venue is closed for Easter Holidays and classes should resume on 17th April.

Friday 18th December 2009
Fencing 2010 will resume on Thursday 14th January and Saturday 16th January.

Thursday 19th November 2009
Please note that the club will stop fencing on the following dates for the Charismas period:
5th December will be the last Saturday fencing, start date yet to be confirmed
17th December will be the last Thursday fencing to start again on 14th January
Please also remember that all members and their families are invited to the Clubs' Christmas Party 18 December, please see poster for details.

Monday 10th August 2009
Dear all
In order to give the Coaches a break and enable maintenance on all the club kit, there will be no fencing on Aug 13th and 20th, returning on the 27th.
For all those wanting to vote for the club trip please email the club secretary

Thursday 7th May 2009
Please note that this Saturday's fencing club (Saturday 9th May) will be the last one this month. Due to the lack of coach availability we are unable to run Saturday fencing for the rest of May, the sessions will start again on Saturday 13th June.

Friday 3rd April 2009:
Please be aware that the last Saturday Fencing session before Easter is this Saturday 4th April. The sessions will restart on the 25th April.

Friday 16th January 2009:
For all Beginner Fencers (those who have fenced for less then 18 months) here is an opportunity to test your skills, The East Midlands Region Beginner Competition is to be held in Nottingham on Sunday February 15th.

All Sabre and Epee fencers, Keele University are once again holding their yearly competition the Keele Open. This competition is fast becoming a very popular competition and is an ideal introduction to open competitions for those who have never been. This competition is to be held on Feb 28th and 1st March.

The East Midlands Region Senior Championships is a competition to identify the best fencers at each weapon (Men & Women) in the region. Entry to this competition is limited to one weapon per person and is to be held on Sunday 1st March.

The Nottingham Open will be held on 7-8th March. This is ideal competition for those who have competed before and are looking to widen their competition experience.

Finishes for the Holidays on 18th December and restarts again on January 8th 2009

Saturday Fencing:
Finished on 6th December and will start again on January 24th 2009

Wednesday 24th September 2008:
Foiled Again had been nominated for the Derby Sports Club of the Year Award for the second year in succession. The nomination is in recognition of the work Foiled Again has done with local schools and community groups. Mick and Angelika have been running taster sessions and courses at St. Benedict's School, The Royal School for the Deaf and have continued with programmes at two local schools.

Wednesday 23rd January 2008:
Foiled Again fencers, here are several competitions for you to try out all your new kit, which your received over the festive holiday. There are competitions for all levels from beginner competitions to big national open competitions. If you are interested in attending then down load the entry form for the competition you wish to attend. Tuesday 11th December 2007:
The last Thursday Fencing sesion of 2007 will be on December 20th 2007 and fencing will start again on January 10th 2008.
The Saturday sessions will start on January 12th 2008.

Wednesday 31st October 2007:
Foiled Again fencing club has now been accredited with Club Mark Status
Congratulations from Rodney Francis a Director of England Fencing: "May I be the first to congratulate you and Foiled Again on becoming the first England Fencing club to be accredited with Clubmark?"
